We have a great opportunity for a Maintenance Engineer to join our team within Vistry Works East Midlands, at our Bardon factory in Coalville, Leicestershire on a day shift. As our Maintenance Engineer you will be responsible for ensuring that all machinery is in correct working order and escalating where appropriate any concerns that may affect productivity. You will be taking care of an array of machinery and ensuring that all minor maintenance repairs are carried out within a manufacturing plant producing modular timber frame panels.

Responsibilities
* Schedule and undertake planned preventive maintenance tasks on all factory machinery, including blade/cutter changes on different types of equipment.
* Work closely with the health and safety department to ensure compliance with all relevant policies and procedures.
* Resolve mechanical breakdowns on all production equipment quickly and efficiently, prioritising the safety and wellbeing of staff.
* Undertake specific project work as directed by your line manager on an ad‑hoc basis.
* Monitor the air handling plant and resolve any breakdowns with the plant as necessary.
* Provide engineering support to other production departments or site services as required by the business.
* Carry out any other reasonable request as directed by your line manager or senior management.
Requirements
* Previous experience working with CNC woodworking machinery is highly desirable.
* HNC/ONC in Mechanical Engineering or NVQ Level 3 Mechanical Engineering.
* Proven track record of carrying out minor maintenance work on a variety of machinery.
* Experience working in a manufacturing plant with a focus on timber frame production.
* Understanding of process improvement, monitoring and improving efficiencies within an engineering team, specifically through planned preventive maintenance.
