About Twickenham School
Twickenham School is a high‑performing mixed secondary school for students aged 11‑16 in Twickenham, south west London. Position Details
Position: Head of Year
Contract: Full‑time, permanent
Start Date: 1 September 2026
Salary: Teachers Main‑to‑Upper Pay Scale (Outer London) £37,868 – 56,154 + TLR2b of £5,641

Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage the achievement, progress and pastoral provision for a year group of students
* Have responsibility for the strategic overview of the year group, including self‑evaluation and the improvement plan for the year group
* Monitor student progress including attendance, achievement and behaviour
Requirements
* Demonstrated awareness, understanding and commitment to the protection and safeguarding of children
* Qualified Teacher Status or equivalent
* Evidence of effective continuous professional development
* Experience coordinating a subject
