About The Role
We are seeking a Principal Mechanical Engineer to join our Property Services team in Manchester or Leeds. This role involves monitoring, optimizing, and creating value throughout building lifecycles, with experience in residential, commercial, and healthcare sectors. You will join a collaborative team and take on responsibilities such as project acquisition, team leadership, design, site monitoring, and client liaison.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Secure new projects and support client relationships.
2. Lead and supervise team members, fostering growth and development.
3. Coordinate with other teams to deliver diverse projects.
4. Manage design, specification, site activities, and post-occupancy services.
5. Write technical reports and liaise with clients.
What You’ll Be Doing
You will work on a variety of projects, primarily UK-based, leading small projects and providing technical support. Services include technical due diligence, plant replacement, innovative design, maintenance, and sustainability projects across sectors like commercial, residential, education, healthcare, and more.
About You
To succeed, you should be a qualified design engineer (chartered or working towards it), with experience in existing building projects, excellent communication skills, knowledge of UK/EU regulations, organizational skills, and a proven track record in work winning and team building.
