Job Role: SEND Primary Teaching Assistant
Location: Chester
We are recruiting for an experienced and dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant for an inclusive and caring Primary School in the Wirral to join their team! This school as a strong reputation of supporting children with a range of additional needs, and is proud of it’s nurturing, child centred needs.

* Can follow plans and strategies, but are also confident to use their initiative.
* Have a calm, caring approach and a genuine passion for supporting children with special educational needs.
* Understanding how to build trust and positive relationships with pupils, especially those who may need extra time and space to feel comfortable.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide 1:1 or small group support for pupils with special educational needs.
* Support the emotional and social development of pupils, encouraging positive behaviour.
* Create a nurturing, inclusive classroom environment that offers positive relationships and celebrates individuality.
* Work closely with the class teacher and SENDCo to implement individual education plans (IEPs)
* Participate in school events, meetings, and professional development activities.
* Commitment to the safeguarding process (DBS check is mandatory).
