Clyde Munro has an exciting opportunity for a part-time Dental Nurse to join our welcoming team at Barlanark Dental, Glasgow. This role involves working 3 days a week on Wednesdays - Fridays.
Barlanark Dental Practice is a family-friendly dental practice which has been based in Glasgow since 2015. There is plenty of on-site parking and transport routes at the practice. Barlanark offers top-quality dental treatments with a professional, patient-centred approach. We provide a wide range of NHS and cosmetic treatments such as tooth whitening, white fillings and more.
Your Role
You will be responsible for providing chair side support in all day-to-day activities within the practice and surgeries. You will play an important role in ensuring the delivery of excellent patient care while complying with all clinical and health & safety guidance.
Other duties include:
1. Creating a welcoming environment for patients that sets them at ease from the outset
2. Maximising the use of the internal system (Software of Excellence) to ensure accurate patient records are maintained
3. Ensuring the surgery is set up appropriately for each session throughout the day to maximise the efficiency of the practice and surgery utilisation
4. Anticipating the requirements of the clinician and patient in advance of their session and ensuring necessary lab work and equipment is in place
5. Monitoring surgery stocks to ensure that appropriate stock levels are maintained
6. Undertaking reception duties when required including answering the telephone, making appointments and collecting patient charges
About You
* Must be GDC registered
* Must have experience working in Private / NHS practices
* Willing to demonstrate the highest levels of patient care
* The ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team
* Enthusiastic, with an appetite to learn and develop new skills
