SEN Teacher - Alternative Provision Maidstone February - Ongoing Academics are seeking a compassionate, creative and resilient SEN Teacher to join a Alternative Provision in Maidstone. You will be working with children from EYFS through to Year 9 who experience communication and interaction difficulties, supporting them to re-engage with learning and achieve their potential in a nurturing environment. About the role Teach and support pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs, primarily in communication and social interaction Plan and deliver differentiated lessons tailored to individual EHCPs and learning needs Create a safe, structured and engaging learning environment Work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team including therapists, support staff and families Support pupils' emotional regulation, independence and personal development Track and assess progress, maintaining accurate records and contributing to review meetings About you Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/PGCE or equivalent) - ECTs considered Experience working with pupils with SEN (e.g., autism, speech and language needs, social communication difficulties) Understanding of strategies such as visual supports, structured teaching and social skills development Strong behaviour-management skills with a trauma-informed and relational approach Patient, adaptable and positive, with a genuine passion for inclusive education Ab...
