Job Description:
Technical Staffing Resources (TSR) is the in-house agency and master vendor for KBR, a leading global engineering, construction, and services company.

We are recruiting a Lead Static (Tanks) Engineer for a 12-month contract based in Leatherhead, Surrey.

Purpose of the Role
Provides engineering leadership to the PMC mechanical team in LNG storage tanks, atmospheric storage tanks, and bullets. Supervises the tank scope of work of the EPC Contractor during the EXECUTE phase, ensuring contractual compliance, safety, and quality.
Responsibilities / Skills
Quality Assurance:
* Ensure all tank work meets quality standards.
* Participate in quality audits.
* Support acceptance of concession requests and non-conformance issues.
* Develop detailed project plans for the tank subgroup.
* Manage the tank subgroup team.
* Attend progress meetings and produce weekly reports on EPC contractor progress.
* Review tank design documents for compliance with specifications and standards.
* Oversee procurement and supplier contract management for tank equipment.
* Attend bid clarification and supplier HAZOP & FAT meetings.
* Complete supplier evaluation reports.
* Support construction, inspection, and commissioning teams with technical assistance.
* Ensure health and safety compliance, intervening in unsafe activities.
Experience:
* Expertise in LNG tank engineering and design codes.
* Ability to review equipment requisitions, datasheets, and specifications.
* Experience in tank design and specification of non-proprietary equipment (preferred).
* Knowledge of operational assets and similar facilities.
* Experience in scope of work, SOR, and design basis documentation.
* Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
* Understanding of Asset Integrity Management System (AIMS) and process safety.
* Minimum 12 years in tank engineering within LNG, Oil & Gas, or Petrochemical industries, including 5 years in EPC organizations.
* At least 2 years in a similar position.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
