Referral & Outreach Worker – Children’s Mentoring Programme – Tower Hamlets – From £25,000
We are looking for a motivated and community-focused Referral & Outreach Worker to help generate referrals for an exciting mentoring programme designed to support young children.
This role is ideal for someone with strong links to schools, youth services, community organisations or local authorities who is passionate about improving outcomes for children through early
intervention and positive role models.
The Role – Referral & Outreach Worker
You will be responsible for promoting our children’s mentoring programme and building strong relationships with schools, professionals, parents and community partners to identify and refer suitable children into the programme.
Key Responsibilities:
* Generate referrals for children to attend the mentoring programme
* Build and maintain relationships with schools, SEN services, youth teams and families
* Promote the benefits of mentoring for children’s confidence, behaviour and wellbeing
* Attend meetings, school visits and community events
* Track referrals and support the onboarding process
The Ideal Candidate:
* Experience in outreach, referrals, education, youth work or family support
* Strong communication and relationship-building skills
* Knowledge of SEN, SEMH or early intervention is desirable
* Self-motivated and target-driven
* Passionate about supporting young children

This role is based on a secondary SEMH school, they have a great team who deliver education to children ages 11 – 19. They offer a service preparing children for employment and life outside school.
