The Job: As a Regional Head of FNO you will be responsible for the construction and operation of Netomnia’s fibre network across serveral regions in the UK. You will ensure all regulations are adhered to, network quality is achieved, risks managed, budgets are followed, projects run on time, Health & Safety is adhered to, local / public relationships are maintained, build times and KPIs are optimised with time targets met. Regional Heads will manage the build partners and Fibre Network Managers who are responsible for the delivery and maintenance of the network across the region. Responsible for identifying and implementing initiatives to improve the quality, cost and service Fibre Network Operations provide to Netomnia and their customers. Proactively support the build and maintenance partners to deliver their contractual obligations. Key Responsibilities Manage build activities across multiple towns/areas achieving agreed business KPI’s, to cost, quality and performance targets. Management of work pipeline across L1 and L2 activities, agreed with delivery partner, forecasted and in line with budget. Ensuring drop-out is mitigated and backfilled where required. Management and coordination of MSO activities as appropriate. Locking of month 1/2/3 forecast activities including delivery partner communication. RFS audit and compliance through verification checks with appropriate action taken to improve if required. Service credit and recoverable cost management – ensuring recoverable costs are recovered for the business. Cost assurance across other workstreams – diversionary works, damage, fixed price Workstack management – ensuring appropriate work volumes are maintained for build partners in region with changes managed via FNO managers for action. Undertaking of 121 meetings providing insight on performance, highlights, lowlights and actions in TRAIN. Undertaking of weekly and monthly delivery partner meetings covering; H&S, performance, quality output, audit, service credit performance, stock, commercial issues and risks to delivery – all recorded for traceability. Managing complaints and escalations as required within any appropriate SLA. Coaching, training and identifying needs of your team across internal systems. CPPP – EAC/ETC management of exchanges within region, ensuring project closure activities progress with any appropriate actions or opportunities tracked and recorded. Ensuring all H&S compliance activities are managed appropriately, including relevant training attendance, SAMSARA review and recorded as required. Attendance of LA, roads authority, community engagement or external bodies meetings as required. Undertaking of on-call duties as required and detailed within the yearly roster. Deputise for the Head of FNO as appropriate. People management of your team Ensuring clear understanding of roles and responsibilities Setting targets and driving accountability Onboarding of new team members to Netomnia and the team Ongoing coaching and mentoring of Netomnia processes and systems Understanding and consideration of people’s wellbeing and team morale Succession planning and business continuity planning due to issues that may arise Supporting build partners through Excellent relationships at peer-to-peer level to ensure correct resourcing and programme timelines and build principles are followed Provide system support and coaching when required for build partners Undertaking regular meetings covering, but not limited to - Performance, H&S and quality NCRs summary (outstanding and what types). NOI compliance As built and record returns Forecast accuracy Resource availability Skills, Knowledge and Expertise Experience of managing fibre infrastructure build or network deployment projects within telecoms to agreed time, cost and quality targets. Detailed knowledge of the methodologies, processes and capabilities required to build network infrastructure or network deployment using partners, contractors and retained teams. Ability to adopt a tactical approach to maintain progress to plan, without losing sight of core mission. Be willing to offer and impliment new solutions to help achieve goals across the business and within your own teams. Familiarity with contracts and performance management of same. Thorough understanding of PIA, CDM, and NRSWA is essential Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Be able to manage multiple stakeholders internally and externally. Proactive with ability to anticipate, communicate and resolve issues with minimal guidance, ensuring the department, team and business remain efficient and cost effective within it’s workstreams.
