Job Responsibilities
1. Provide administrative and analytical support to the Distribution Merchandising Team.
2. Utilise Nextail to accurately allocate stock across all channels—Wholesale, Ecomm, Stores, and Franchise—in line with the distribution plan.
3. Collaborate with Core Merchandising counterparts, leveraging knowledge of capacity, option plan, and sales trends to inform allocation decisions.
4. Review reporting, including Nextail parameters, to ensure optimal replenishment and initial allocations.
5. Monitor key line availability regularly and adjust allocations to meet demand effectively.
6. Support promotional, peak, markdown activities, and launch dates with timely and accurate allocations.
7. Analyse sales trends and forecast stock requirements accordingly.
8. Identify when ad hoc reporting is needed and use these insights to evaluate product performance for trading decisions.
9. Conduct store visits and website reviews, fostering partnerships with Wholesale, Ecomm, Franchise, and Core Merchandising teams to build knowledge and develop informed perspectives.
10. Prepare and support distribution meetings.
11. Work cross-functionally to identify process improvements, streamline workflows, and enhance agility.
Candidate Requirements
* Demonstrated good work ethic.
* No specific qualifications required; an analytical mindset, quick learning ability, and application of knowledge are essential.
* Strong analytical skills with good verbal and numerical abilities.
* Intermediate MS Office skills, particularly Excel.
* Computer literate with the ability to learn new systems.
* Highly organized with excellent prioritization and time management skills.
* Collaborative team player with strong interpersonal skills.
* Good commercial awareness and market understanding.
* Disciplined, conscientious, and results-oriented.
* Resilient, adaptable, and curious with a continuous learning mindset.
* Keen interest in Product and the River Island brand.
* Experience in Retail, Allocation, or MAA is beneficial but not mandatory.
