Job Title: Maintenance Supervisor
We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to join a dynamic team at a large static office building in Reading. The role requires overseeing a team of maintenance engineers and ensuring the smooth operation of a large maintenance contract.
Responsibilities
* Supervise and lead a team of maintenance engineers on site
* Coordinate and schedule maintenance activities to ensure the efficient operation of the contract
* Conduct regular inspections and provide technical guidance to ensure high‑quality workmanship
* Troubleshoot and resolve complex electrical issues in a timely manner
* Develop and implement preventive maintenance plans to minimise downtime and maximise equipment reliability
* Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, inspections and repairs
* Collaborate with the management team to develop and improve maintenance processes and procedures
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times
Requirements
* Electrically qualified NVQ or City & Guilds equivalent
* 18th edition
* Proven experience in overseeing a team of maintenance engineers
* Extensive knowledge of electrical systems, controls, and maintenance practices
* Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
* Excellent organisational and leadership abilities
* Effective communication skills to liaise with clients and team members
