ABOUT THE ROLE

* Ways of Working: Hybrid (This role is predominantly home-based. Your contractual office will be the DC Thomson Meadowside Office. Occasional office attendance may be required for team gatherings, collaboration activities, key meetings and company events.)

* Contract Duration: Fixed-term contract until 26th October 2026 (subject to change in line with business needs and statutory requirements)
Job Purpose
The purpose of the role is to convert, engage, retain and monetise our subscription products, using a suite of CRM tools.
An expert in various CRM tools, the role will work closely with a broad range of stakeholders both in the Customer and Trading team but also cross functionally in the community.
The role is primarily focussed on the Energy community in DC Thomson, but may be required to support other communities as the business requires.
Key Responsibilities
* Be the expert in CRM within cross-functional groups, building campaigns or automations that will achieve the objective
* Be a key player in the community OKR teams, flexing the approach and choosing the right tools for the situation
* Manage and optimise any BAU elements to our subscription lifecycle communications, e.g., onboarding, renewal, win back, event programs, plugging any gaps vs CRM best practice or searching for improvements that will help achieve and beat goals
* Report on success of campaigns both to the OKR group, community and into the Customer and Trading team
* Look for new tools and ways of working to achieve the goals set
Knowledge, Qualifications, Skills and Experience
Behavioural
* A willingness to learn to use new systems that will deliver campaigns that influence user behaviour
* A team player able to work cross-functionally within small and larger community and OKR teams
* Proactive: Looks for reasons to communicate positive business changes and content that will increase the value driven for the customer

Technical
* Some experience of marketing or a degree in a related subject
* An expert with various CRM tools, including HubSpot, Sailthru and One Signal
* An understanding of news media and customer behaviour across brands and their use of the products
The above are the principle tasks and responsibilities of the post and if deemed necessary, and in consultation with the post holder, may be subject to amendment at a future date in order to comply with the operational demands of the Company.
In addition, it is expected that the job holder will undertake any reasonable additional tasks within the scope of the post as requested by their line manager.

This is a full-time, temporary position (fixed-term contract until 26th October 2026), working 35 hours per week. The duration of the contract is based on the return date of the current postholder, who is going on maternity leave. We offer a blend of home and office working. Your contractual office base will be the DC Thomson Meadowside Office. Occasional office attendance may be required for team gatherings, collaboration, key meetings and company events.
