About the role:
As an integral member on the Partnerships team, you will empower and enable the organisations’ research teams by understanding their mission, identifying partners, initiating relationships, negotiating deals and serving as a strategic resource to advance the research work. You possess strong relationship-building skills, the ability to clarify complex issues, and strong attention to detail. You also possess outstanding analytical skills regarding contractual, technical and financial issues with partners and the ability to effectively influence and communicate cross-functionally with all levels of management including senior executives. You are excited to be close to early stage scientific discovery and work closely alongside research scientists, program managers and other x-functional teams to ensure AI 71 teams achieve the objectives that rely on external partner development. It's critical to have a sense of urgency, the ability to make things happen quickly, and to thrive in a fast-paced, fluid and collaborative environment.
The role
Key responsibilities:
* Partnerships development and management:
* Partner closely with engineering and product teams to drive AI-enabling partnerships.
* Negotiate agreements with external partners to license technology and data as well as formulate research collaborations to enable ground-breaking AI research.
* Lead cross-functional teams on key transverse strategic initiatives, managing coordination with teams such as Research, Legal, Operations, Finance, Policy & Program Management.
About you
Minimum qualifications:
* BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience.
* Experience in business development, strategic negotiations, partner management, and/or similar functions.
* Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical skills, with excellent business judgment, thought leadership, and innovation.
Preferred experience (it would be awesome if you also had these):
* Excellent relationship-building, communication, and interpersonal skills. Good negotiation skills.
* Strong analytical and reasoning skills to structure partnerships models and handle technical, contractual, and financial issues.
