Job Description Job DescriptionThe postholder’s duties will primarily be the administration of Council Tax and Non-Domestic Rates accounts. The specific duties include the creation and amendment of data held on these databases and the issue of responses to written and verbal enquiries from taxpayers and ratepayers. The postholder will mainly specialize in either Council Tax or Non-Domestic Rates but may periodically be deployed to the other in times of high work volumes.RequirementsTo input information to the Council Tax and Non-Domestic Rates databases.\nTo respond to enquiries from taxpayers and ratepayers, both verbally and in writing.\nTo perform general clerical duties.ResponsibilitiesExperience of working in an office environment.\nExperience of data input.\nExperience of dealing with the public.\n4 SQA Standard grade or equivalent at level 3 or above including Maths and English\nHigh level of accuracy in work.\nEffective communication skills; oral and written.\nAbility to deliver a high level of customer care.\nAppreciation, acceptance of and commitment to the importance of confidentiality.
