Workshop Engineer - Structures
Draken seeks a Workshop Engineer to support the Workshop Team Leader and contribute to Part‑145 C‑rated mechanical and structural component maintenance, repair, and Part‑21 manufacturing activities essential to delivering customer contractual requirements.
Responsibilities
* Assemble aircraft components from kits according to drawings and specifications using methods such as solid and blind riveting and bolting.
* Manufacture metal detail components, employing bending and detail fitting techniques, complete required documentation and report problems promptly.
* Interpret technical drawings and maintain / repair mechanical and structural components in line with manufacturers and Draken’s procedures.
* Liaise with relevant departments to complete tasks and certify work within Company authorisation limits.
* Ensure compliance with Company procedures, keep documentation accurate, and maintain work areas clean and tidy.
* Verify test equipment calibration and record keeping.
* Identify tooling requirements and, if necessary, support procurement through business case preparation.
Qualifications
* Previous experience in aircraft maintenance base/workshop environments is desirable; additional aircraft maintenance experience is advantageous.
* Good technical proficiency in English (written and spoken) and basic mathematics.
