About The Role

Role Summary:

The LOLER competent person is required to ensure all LOLER expertise is provided to development, review and approval of Lift Plans and rigging requirements.

This role is required to support an upcoming TAR project in Grangemouth on a contract basis (ltd/umbrella), a min of 5 months work is available. Candidates must hold their A61 & A62 certification to be considered.

Duties

* Promote safe working practices, ensuring full implementation and compliance with the PD&MS policies and procedures relating to lifting operations
* Prepare and validated lift plans
* Input to design development in relation to lifting and rigging
* Input to preparation of LOLER lift plans, including review and verification, onshore and offshore as required
* Audit and inspect on-site lifting procedures regularly
* Assist with the investigation of any incidents, accidents or near misses relating to lifting activities
* Regularly liaise with QHSE and Senior Management, demonstrating all procedures are being adhered to
* Act as Company representative for LOLER onshore and offshore to match PD&MS and client expectations
* Responsible for ensuring professional development is maintained and identified competency requirements are undertaken in a timely manner
* Adherence to the Company Integrated Management System
* Compliance with quality assurance, health and safety and environmental policies
* Demonstrate and promote PD&MS QHSE principles and lead by example
* Ensure unsafe activities are challenged
* Adherence to the requirements of the best practice standards recommendations and processes in the undertaking of duties, in particular, risk assessment and control, reliability and failure prevention necessary to ensure the safe design, provision and use of tools, equipment and systems relating to lifting activities
* Demonstrate and promote PD&MS values and lead by example

About You

We would like suitable candidates to have the following skills and experience to be considered for this role -

* Time Served / Modern Apprenticeship approved by City & Guilds or NVQ/SVQ Level 3, and / or relevant and recognised technical qualification approved by an appropriate awarding body, or appropriate 10 years' experience in discipline / trade
* OPITO approved LOLER Competent Person or ECITB APML + TAP01, or equivalent
* OPITO Rigger Level 3 / 4
* A61 & A62 Certification
* OPITO approved Rigging Loft Management and Lifting Equipment Inspection
* Understanding of relevant Oil & Gas Industry Codes and Standards
* Demonstrable experience in preparation of LOLER lift plans
* Thorough knowledge of LOLER lift plan requirements
* 3 Years Offshore Experience relating to rigging and lifting activities
* Valid offshore certification
