This exciting new position as an Assistant HR Business Partner is a 12-week contract that offers the opportunity to become fully involved in HR operations. In this role, you will provide support and assistance to the HR Operations team, helping to bridge the gap between HR strategy and operational delivery.
This opportunity would be ideal for someone with previous local council or education sector HR experience who is looking to join a team on a short-term basis and make a real difference; not only to the team, but also to the people who live in the borough.

Role Responsibilities:
1. Support, coach, challenge and empower directorate line managers in effectively managing people-related issues
2. Build and maintain positive relationships with local trade unions and support discussions where required
3. Screen all vacancies and identify potential redeployment opportunities for existing employees where appropriate
4. Undertake job evaluations using benchmarking data to ensure fair, consistent and objective assessments
