ScottishPower is hiring a Senior Occupational Health Nurse Consultant to support the Director of Occupational Health, Hygiene & Wellbeing in the provision and delivery of a high quality multi-disciplinary Occupational Health (OH) Service to the ScottishPower. You will lead a small team of OH Nurse Advisors and be a key contact for business clients and stakeholders.

What You’ll Be Doing


* Contribute towards safe and healthy working practices across the Occupational Health (OH) team
* Key Contact for Business clients
* Consult and work in collaboration with key stakeholders to ensure a safe effective and quality assured delivery of the OH and Wellbeing services
* Deliver statutory health surveillance to ensure legal compliance
* Provide cover for clinical and case management appointments
* Monitor OH activities to ensure Stakeholder and Client requirements are met
* Maintain Clinical and Health records in accordance with relevant legislation
* Support the Director of Occupational Health, Hygiene & Wellbeing in developing and delivery of Occupational Health Operating plans and project manage specific deliverables
* Responsible for ensuring Clinical Governance and audit
* Experience in use of electronic OH Data Management & Recordkeeping IT systems- OPAS G2 desired
* Deliver Company health and wellbeing initiatives and directives
* Liaise with contracted OH Nurse advisors within the OH team; able to coach, mentor & performance manage

What You’ll Bring

* Qualified Registered Nurse and Occupational Health Practitioner on Part 1 and Part 3 of NMC professional Register (SCPHN OH)
* Occupational Health Degree/Diploma
* Knowledge and experience of providing a comprehensive OH service; health surveillance, occupational health fitness assessments, maintaining occupational health records, providing health education, case management, analysis of health trends
* Experienced in Complex Occupational Health Case Management
* Competent in Report Writing; ability to produce accurate quality and timely reports
* Competent in undertaking Occupational Audiometry, Spirometry and Vision screening, HAVS assessments; Health Surveillance
* Will be required to be peripatetic and able to drive
* Demonstrable Management skills, IT literate and be able to influence, communicate and present over different mediums to a diverse audience to all levels within the SP Group
* Health and Safety Certification (NEBOSH) desired
* First Aid at Work Certificate desired
* Mental Health First Aider desired
* Knowledge of Health and Safety legislation, recent recommendations and guidance
