Permanent | UK-wide | Accommodation ProvidedDue to continued growth and an increasing workload, Drift Services Group is looking to recruit experienced Lead Drillers and Assistant Drillers (Second Men) to join our expanding drilling teams.We work across the UK delivering a range of projects including water boreholes, open-loop geothermal systems, pump testing, grouting operations and associated groundwater engineering works.Whether you're an experienced Lead Driller looking for your next challenge, or an Assistant Driller ready to develop your skills and progress your career, we'd love to hear from you.About the roleAs part of our drilling teams, you will work on projects throughout the UK. Working away from home is a standard part of the role, with accommodation provided by the company.Responsibilities will vary depending on experience and position but will include:Operating and assisting with drilling rigs and associated plant and equipment to include mud treatment plants, telehandlers and drill rigsWater borehole and open-loop geothermal drilling activitiesPump testing and groundwater monitoring worksGrouting and associated site activitiesWelding and fabrication activities where appropriateDaily inspections and maintenance of plant and equipmentCompletion of site records, logs and documentationLoading, unloading and general site dutiesMaintaining high standards of housekeeping on siteWorking safely and in accordance with company procedures and site requirementsWhat we're looking forLead DrillersProven experience in a drilling environmentExperience in delivering large diameter water wells and open loop geothermal drilling is essentialExperience leading drilling operations and supervising site activitiesStrong understanding of health and safety requirementsAbility to complete drilling records and site documentation accuratelyPositive attitude and ability to lead by exampleAssistant Drillers (Second Men)Previous drilling or construction experience desirable, but not essentialWillingness to learn and develop within the industryStrong work ethic and ability to work effectively within a teamPositive attitude and willingness to get stuck inCommitment to always working safelyEssential requirements.Valid CSCS CardNVQ Level 2 in Land Rotary DrillingFull UK Driving LicenceFlexibility to work away from home across the UKReliability and a strong work ethicAbility to work effectively as part of a teamPrevious experience within the water well or geothermal sectorsDesirable qualifications and experienceFirst Aid certificationTelehandler qualificationWelding experienceExperience of pump testing activitiesGrouting experienceOther relevant construction or plant certificationsWhat we offer.Permanent employmentBlue Arrow is proud to be a Disability Confident Employer and is committed to helping find great work opportunities for great people.TPBN1_UKTJ
