Specialist Costs & Insurance - Senior Legal Recruitment Consultant
The Role
A highly regarded national law firm is seeking a EL/PL Litigation Paralegal to join its growing team. This role offers the chance to manage a caseload of delegated authority, fixed-fee Employers’ Liability and Public Liability claims on behalf of leading insurer clients, while working alongside experienced colleagues who will provide support with strategy, liability decisions, and technical development.
You will handle a varied caseload that includes Pre-Action Disclosure files, Infant Approval Hearings, and a range of EL/PL matters, as well as assisting senior file handlers with delegated litigation tasks. The position is well-suited to an individual with a forensic and analytical approach to liability and quantum, combined with a strong understanding of evidential requirements and legal processes.
Key responsibilities include managing your own files, drafting legal documents, instructing Counsel and Experts, negotiating settlements, attending hearings and conferences, and engaging with claimants, solicitors, and witnesses. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands‑on litigation experience within a dynamic, client‑focused environment.

* Confident in instructing Counsel, preparing for hearings, and attending conferences
* Good IT and case management system literacy
* A collaborative team player with a positive, enthusiastic approach
* Committed to high standards of client service and regulatory compliance
The Benefits
* Competitive salary up to £35,000 based on experience
* 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays
* Hybrid working options
* Private medical insurance and health cash plan
* Supportive team culture with career development opportunities
