We are looking for an IT Category Manager to join our team on a 3 month assignment. The candidate must have a background in SaaS and be able to work in out of our London office at least 1 day per week.
The IT Category Manager role will play an integral role in driving the strategic direction aligned with the Head of Procurement's strategy, mission and vision. This role will manage the procurement activities for, and working alongside, business stakeholders and within areas such as IT, HR, Finance, Property & Facilities Management, Marketing and Quality & Risk.
Responsibilities
* Being the strategic sourcing lead for all IT and Technology requirements
* Working with the wider procurement team to help triage SaaS purchases efficiently and ensuring compliance of negotiated agreements to established vendor management/procurement policies and practices (such as articulation of service levels and deliverables, etc).
* Collaborate with business stakeholders to create and manage the ongoing relevant Category plan(s) and ensure it is a 'living document'.
* Responsible for maintaining the list of category vendors, the master data held on them (contractual and commercial) and supporting for the rollout out POs to our strategic suppliers.
Qualifications
* Significant experience in IT category management or equivalent, with evidence of high performance.
* An excellent understanding of procurement processes and contractual elements such as RFPs, SLAs, commercial models etc.
* Knowledge of the IT industry, trends and the products / services provided by technology vendors.
* An excellent understanding of IT contractual elements such as SLAs, integration and data protection considerations etc.
* Very good understanding of contractual, commercial and operational working relationships with vendors to ensure effective delivery of committed products, services and solutions
* Good understanding of the vendor life cycle (sourcing, procurement, vendor management), and how internal roles interact and operate throughout the duration of vendor engagements
* Experience in using vendor management tooling and delivering against a framework.
* Professional qualifications in one or more of the following:
* –Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS)
* –Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM)
* –Certified Technology Procurement Executive (CTPE)
* –Skills Framework for the Information Age (SFIA)
