We are looking for an experienced BMS to perform blood film morphology. This individual will also be involved in the development of morphology skills of the existing BMS staff in the Blood Sciences Department..
Main duties of the job
Review and reporting of blood films. Appropriate escalation of films to Consultant Colleagues.
Delivery of training to BMS staff.

Essential criteria
* Extensive specialist experience in the reporting of blood film morphology
* HCPC Registration
* Evidence of continuing professional development
Knowledge & experience
Essential criteria
* An understanding of analytical/diagnostic pathology at a specialist level
* Practical analytical skills associated with Haematology
Skills & Competencies
Essential criteria
* Experience of working in a UKAS and MHRA Haematology and Blood Transfusion accredited laboratory
* Ability to work methodically, work under pressure and adapt to changing demands appropriately
* Competent in using pathology computer systems
* Good attention to detail and accuracy
* Ability to cascade training to other appropriate grades of staff
