We are looking for an experienced Commercial Manager with a minimum of 5 years UK construction experience to manage subcontracts across multiple projects. This is a stand-alone role, perfect for a professional who can work independently, take ownership of commercial processes, and deliver consistent results. Key Responsibilities Manage subcontract procurement, including preparing ITTs, evaluating bids, and negotiating contracts. Oversee contract administration and financial management, including valuations, payments, variations, and final accounts. Lead risk and dispute management, identifying commercial risks and resolving subcontract disputes efficiently. Monitor subcontractor performance against schedule, quality, and compliance standards (H&S and legal). Manage multi-project responsibilities, typically 56 projects simultaneously, providing regular updates. Develop templates, processes, and systems for efficient subcontract management from tender stage to project closeout. Required Qualifications & Experience Minimum 5 years subcontract or contracts management experience in the UK construction industry. Degree or HNC/HND in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Commercial Management, or a related discipline. Expert knowledge of JCT and NEC contracts, with strong commercial and financial literacy. Ability to read mechanical and electrical drawings. Excellent negotiation, communication, and influencing skills. Self-motivated and disciplined, capable of working independently and managing multiple projects concurrently. Desirable Experience managing projects over £50m. Membership of a professional body (RICS, CIPS, CICES). Experience leading a small commercial team or mentoring junior staff. Why Apply?
