The Role
This is a great opportunity to join Bolton Council as an Apprentice and start your career journey with us.
In this role, you will maintain data within information systems, produce regular reports, analyse complex datasets, and validate data accuracy. You will also produce various data and information in an easy-to-read format for our HR teams and Managers, relating to workforce, sickness absence, staff vacancies, etc., as well as working on government data returns and Freedom of Information Requests.
Applicants are required to have completed a Level 3 qualification in a relevant field.
To develop the skills and experience necessary to perform the duties of the role, the successful applicant will undertake a Level 4 apprenticeship.
We are unable to offer an apprenticeship to anyone who already holds a qualification at Level 4 or above in a data-related field.
About You
You’ll have good communication skills and demonstrate a good level of accuracy and attention to detail. You’ll be passionate about your own development, eager to learn new skills, and willing to gain practical experience in Data Management and Analysis.
Ideally, you will have experience working with large datasets and analysing information to produce meaningful reports, using Excel or a data visualisation tool such as Power BI. You will also have good organisational skills, be able to prioritise your work to meet deadlines, and work independently.
