Senior Commercial Operations Analyst
We have a maternity cover opportunity supporting our Trading Operations team.
Your responsibilities
* Provide effective and well controlled settlement services to the trading function – all deals settled on time and accurately
* Provide challenge to the trading function, ensuring processes and controls are consistently applied
* Support the development of new products working alongside stakeholders
* Independently align with the Front Office teams, with Credit Risk, Tax, Accounting, and with all other required stakeholders to ensure correct, timely and efficient settlement is performed by the team
* Ensure timely and accurate processing of trades including validation, data quality management, implementation, settlement and documentation
* Be the point of contact for audit processes
* Ensure tracking and administration of internal controls as well as KPIs
* Identify and steer optimization potentials - working with the team to drive initiatives to simplify, standardize and automate processes within the department based on the Operational Excellence principals
* Manage (Sub-) projects as well as collaborate with other teams in projects
* Occasional travel to Dusseldorf will be required
Your profile
Essential
* Educational or professional background in economics/accounting/business administration or similar areas
* Experience in commodity markets, in deal validation, pre-settlement and settlement tasks
* Ability to work with Front Office teams on very high value transactions, under time pressure
* Experience working with SAP and ETRMs
* Fluent in English language
* Excellent analytical skills and good knowledge of MS Office services
* UK commodity market knowledge
