We are offering an exceptional opportunity for a skilled Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon to join a respected and high-performing surgical centre in Plymouth. This modern, purpose-built facility is known for its clinical excellence, low infection rates, and outstanding patient satisfaction.
In this role, you will enjoy the freedom to focus on planned surgical care without the demands of trauma rotas or acute emergency admissions. You'll be supported by a forward-thinking, multidisciplinary team and have the opportunity to shape and develop clinical services.
Key Responsibilities
As part of the orthopaedic team, you will:
* Deliver full-cycle care: preoperative assessments, intraoperative care, and postoperative follow-up
* Maintain the highest standards of clinical safety and effectiveness
* Collaborate across disciplines to improve pathways and patient outcomes
* Participate in audit, service development, teaching, and research
* Support appraisal, revalidation, and junior doctor development
* Contribute to an on-call rota (with primary cover provided by RMOs)
About You
You will hold:
* Full GMC Specialist Registration in Trauma & Orthopaedic Surgery
