HGV CLASS 1 NIGHT DRIVER People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Class 1 Night Driver to join our well-established client based in Lutterworth, Leicestershire.
Shifts: Sunday – Thursday: Start times 21:00 Rates of Pay: £19.00 – £20.00 per hour Benefits: • Excellent hourly rates • Ongoing work • Weekly pay • On-site canteen • Training provided • Immediate starts • Employee well-being programme Day-to-Day Duties: • Complete 2–3 store deliveries per shift (curtain-side work – unloading via FLT) • Operate and drive various Class 1 vehicles safely and efficiently to and from delivery locations • Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections • Ensure all cargo is loaded and secured properly • Adhere to traffic laws and regulations • Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers • Report any vehicle defects or maintenance needs to management • Assist with loading and unloading of cargo when required Essential Skills: • Valid UK Category CE Licence • Minimum of 12 month's experience driving CE vehicles • FLT Counterbalance experience within the last 5 years (required for store unloading) • No more than six penalty points for minor infringements, with no major endorsement codes • Valid UK CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card • Good spoken and written English • Excellent punctuality and timekeeping • Strong understanding of traffic laws and regulations • Effective communication skills Desirable Experience: • Previous commercial driving experience • Previous multi-drop experience Training Provided: • Driver's assessment must be completed before starting Contact: If you are ready to take on this exciting opportunity as a Class 1 Night Driver, apply today by clicking the link below or get in touch with our recruitment team to find out more.
