Description Job Title: Warehouse Administrator - Admin Team Reporting To: Administration Line Manager Location: Wickes HDC Northampton Days of working / shifts: Mon to Fri Times 06:00 am - 14:00 pm Salary: £27 762.08 annual Summary and purpose of position: Wincanton is an exciting, fast paced, changing environment and we have a lot going on at the moment! We have an exciting opportunity for an Administrator to join our team in Brackmills on the Wickes contract. This role is a hands-on position and takes responsibility for supporting the Administration Department in order to meet company targets, compliance etc. Duties and responsibilities ● External Storage Coordination to oversee and manage the coordination, tracking, and retrieval of goods stored at off-site storage facilities ● Main point of contact between internal departments and third-party storage providers, ensuring accurate documentation, efficient logistics ● Coordinate all inbound and outbound movements to/from external storage facilities. ● Maintain accurate records of stored inventory, transfers, and retrievals. ● Liaise with third-party storage providers ● Schedule regular inventory checks and support audits as required ● Monitor storage capacity, optimize space usage, and recommend solutions when nearing limits. ● Prepare reports and analysis related to storage utilization, costs, and performance ● Work cross-functionally with logistics, warehouse, and operations teams. ● System knowledge, specifically Calidus WMS ( Onsite system training will be available ) ● Ability to work efficiently and accurately and maintain high levels of attention to detail ● Ensuring daily site reports are completed in a timely manner ● Ensuring and maintaining effective communication between different shifts and different departments to assist with any discrepancies and queries to resolve queries ● Maintaining all Administration Operational trackers are up to date and in live status ● Ensuring all site and system processes are maintained at all times ● Ensuring all system workflows are completed and maintained ● Maintain up to date knowledge of the internal systems ● Monitoring all system issues on site and following the respective reporting channels to ensure these are resolved in a timely and effective manner ● Flexible to work in all admin functions within the Admin Department Experience, skills and attributes Essential / Desirable ● Must be able to work well within a team structure and on own initiative ● Must be able to work to deadlines ● Enthusiastic approach to work ● Confident in the use of Microsoft / Google applications ● Good communication skills ● Experience of working in a Project group ● Ability to communicate with all levels of the business ● Excellent written and spoken English skills ● Have a confidential and professional approach Individuals are expected to model Wincanton’s values in all they do.
