JAB Recruitment is currently sourcing for an Electrical Superintendent on behalf of our client who is delivering a major decommissioning and carbon capture project. This is a full-time contractor role, based in Talacre, offered outside IR35.
Purpose of the Position
As Electrical Superintendent, you will report to the Site Construction Manager. You will be part of our ENI Liverpool Bay Project (Decommissioning & Carbon Capture and Storage) and will organize, coordinate, and control the execution of electrical works performed by subcontractors or employees.
You will be responsible for ensuring the safety of personnel in High Voltage areas by enforcing safety and quality standards and procedures, ensuring the structure and high voltage system are used without risks.
Responsibilities
* Coordinate the activities of 2–3 Electrical Supervisors and other involved personnel.
* Verify and confirm the availability of drawings and materials to plan efficient execution of works (feasibility analysis).
* Supervise external stakeholders such as clients, contractors, vendors, and agencies.
* Analyse work progress, identify causes of deviations from the programme, and propose corrective actions.
* Control production parameters in terms of efficiency and productivity.
* Ensure proper electrical discipline workflow, interfacing with the wider project organisation.
* Support the resolution of technical problems encountered during execution.
* Ensure correct quantity accounting of works, including updating man-hours and cost estimates for scope changes.
* Supervise and monitor electrical works performed directly or by subcontractors.
* Coordinate human and technical resources, highlighting any needs or surpluses.
What We're Looking For
* Experience: 15–20 years in high voltage electrical activities within a construction site or similar environment.
* Technical Skills:
High voltage systems, electrical vendors, and site suppliers.
* Certificates:
SAP up to 11kV, Competency Card.
