C# Developer – Elite Systematic Hedge Fund – London – Multiple Headcount – Up to £350k TC
One of the world’s most progressive systematic hedge funds is scaling a core engineering function and hiring multiple C# developers to build the platforms that power research, trading, and firm-wide decision making.
This is not a narrow “support” seat. You’ll be writing production-grade software that sits close to the investment process, working with quantitative researchers, engineers, and stakeholders across the firm to deliver high-impact tools at speed. With a new growth mandate in place, the team is expanding materially — multiple hires, real greenfield builds, and visible ownership.
The Role
As a C# Developer, you’ll help design and build modern systems across the fund’s technology estate, including:
* Core platform services supporting systematic research and live trading workflows
* High-performance data & analytics tooling (pipelines, APIs, services, internal frameworks)
* User-facing applications for researchers, PMs, and senior stakeholders (dashboards, micro-apps, visualisations)
* Automation & engineering enablement: improving developer experience, reliability, and speed of iteration
You’ll operate in a lean, high-calibre environment where engineers ship meaningful work, get direct feedback, and see the impact of what they build.
Tech Stack
* Backend: C# / .NET
* Frontend: React / Angular (depending on team)
* Data: SQL Server (plus broader data tooling in the stack)
* Engineering: modern CI/CD, strong testing culture, clean architecture patterns
What They’re Looking For
* Strong software engineer with C#/.NET experience (full-stack experience welcome, not mandatory)
* Solid fundamentals: clean design, performance awareness, testing, maintainability
* Comfortable partnering with technical and non-technical stakeholders
* Experience in finance is helpful, but not required — they hire for engineering excellence
* Strong academic backgrounds (CS, Maths, Physics, Engineering, etc.) are valued
Why This Role Stands Out
* Build software that directly supports a top-tier systematic investment business
* Multiple headcount due to growth — real expansion and greenfield work
* High ownership, low bureaucracy, fast iteration
* Work with genuinely top-end engineers and quantitative teams
* Market-leading compensation in a high-performance environment
If you’re looking for a high-impact C# role in a world-class systematic fund — with modern engineering, serious ownership, and strong comp — this is one of the best seats in London right now.
