Team/Role Overview
The KYC Operations Lead Analyst is a senior-level position responsible for leading Anti-Money Laundering (AML) monitoring, governance, oversight and regulatory reporting activities in coordination with the Compliance and Control team. The overall objective of this role is to lead in the development and management of a dedicated internal KYC (Know Your Client) program at Citi.
What you’ll do
1. Serve as primary point of contact for Know Your Client (KYC), representing KYC in various governance forums.
2. Assist with assessing regulatory reporting requirements for client legal entities and liaise with internal Compliance personnel on the application of KYC policy.
3. Responsible for the tracking and reporting of workstreams relating to country specific regulatory requirement.
4. Interact with internal stakeholders on AML-related risk issues.
5. Prepare client-specific KYC-related analyses, as required.
6. Has the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision.
7. Can exercise independence of judgement and autonomy.
8. Acts as SME to senior stakeholders and /or other team members.
9. Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behaviour, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
What we’ll need from you
10. Extensive KYC work experience.
11. Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience.
12. Strong leadership and communication skills.
13. Solid understanding of the banking industry and it's specific challenges.
14. Knowledge of EU country regulations and reporting obligations.
15. Effective planning, risk management and stakeholder management.
16. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
17. Previous project management experience desired.
