We’re looking for a Legal Counsel fluent in Romanian, Dutch or German language. This is a newly created role and can be based anywhere in Europe. In this role you will be responsible for contract renewal, tenders, contracts (suppliers and customer).

What you’ll do:
5. You will support commercial and contractual negotiations with customers and suppliers, including drafting and review of non-disclosure agreements, rental contracts, tender documentation, service level agreements, warranty documents and performance guarantees, procurement contracts.
6. You will ensure that contracts provide appropriate protection to Aggreko in line with group standards.
7. You will deliver advice in a commercially relevant manner, comprehensible and easy to use, in line with current market norms, and aligned to the commercial aspects of the deal.
8. You will provide training and guidance to sales, operations, engineering and procurement teams on relevant legal matters, standard internal documents and policies.
9. You will ensure the appropriate levels of governance are applied to guarantee legal compliance including ethics, anti-bribery and corruption, in conjunction with Group Compliance Director.
10. You will manage and oversee the maintenance of corporate entities in the region in conjunction with external service providers.
11. You will monitor changes in relevant legislation and regulatory environments, assessing impact on the business and taking appropriate action.
You’ll have the following skills and experience:
12. Technical expertise. You will be a skilled legal professional with the proven ability to quickly assess and understand any number of complex legal issues across the business and provide commercial solutions. Strong analytical and innovative legal skills, attention to detail and commitment to quality work product.
13. Sector expertise. You will have experience operating in the engineering services sector or other relevant sector such as utility energy, mining or oil & gas.
14. International experience. You will have demonstrated ability to operate across a broad geographical footprint.
15. Commercial acumen. You will have well-developed commercial awareness with an outcome-orientated and solution-based approach, able to apply legal principles pragmatically. Understand the importance of ensuring the legal function advises the business from a commercial standpoint.
16. Languages. You will be fluent in either Romanian, Dutch or German and speak business level English. Additional European languages are desirable but not essential.
