We have an exciting opportunity for a Lead Commercial Auditor to join the Commercial Assurance Contract Audit Team at Yorkshire Water and help us provide the best service to our customers. Could this be you?

With new environmental legislation, significant investments, and changing customer expectations, this is an exciting time to be in the water industry. The Commercial Assurance Contract Audit Team plays a key role in meeting these challenges.
This role supports the delivery of the annual commercial assurance and contract audit plan, assessing compliance, identifying value leakage, and improvement opportunities.
You will analyze complex supplier data, identify exceptions, develop understanding of commercial arrangements, and collaborate with external auditors to support the audit plan.
Where you fit in:
As our Lead Commercial Auditor, you will:
* Conduct commercial contract audits to ensure costs align with contractual terms.
* Gather intelligence on contract performance from key stakeholders.
* Perform detailed cost analysis to verify contractual compliance.
* Identify control deficiencies and suggest sustainable improvements.
* Produce accurate audit reports with robust findings.
* Coordinate with managers and stakeholders on audit progress and findings.
* Support external audits and guide internal teams.
What skills & qualifications you will need:
* Degree-level qualification in Finance, Accounting, Quantity Surveying, or equivalent (MCIPS preferred).
* Experience leading and managing audit plans.
* Effective communication skills at all organizational levels.
* Basic knowledge of auditing principles.
* Strong analytical skills, especially with Excel.
* Knowledge of NEC4 ECC and Alliance contracts is highly desirable.
