The Mental Health Care Group of Nottinghamshire Healthcare Foundation Trust comprises of three care units; Adult Mental Health, Mental Health Services for Older People and Specialist Services. More than 2,800 dedicated staff provide vital and integral healthcare services for our patients in a variety of settings, ranging from community through to acute wards, covering a vast geographical area.

Please note applicants will be required to pay for their DBS check. Costs are deducted from salary following appointment. The cost of the DBS application is £26.40 (standard) or £54.40 (enhanced), this cost will be deducted from your salary over the first 2 months of employment.

You are encouraged to enrol for the DBS Update Service. An annual fee of £16 per year applies.

Nottinghamshire Perinatal Mental Health Team is a multidisciplinary and well-established service providing a tailored approaches to meet the mental health needs of women and their families in the perinatal period. You will have opportunity for direct one to one, and group based therapeutic work with women experiencing a wide range of mental health problems, often relating to complex trauma or attachment difficulties. The service is also seeking to develop psychological interventions across multiple pathways, and you will be invited to contribute to innovative service development.

We are keen to recruit people who enjoy working in multi-disciplinary teams and who are creative, adaptable and responsive to the needs of the service. We are looking for someone who is passionate about working with women and their families and whose values and principles are aligned with the organisation, including compassion, and a person/ family-centred focus. There is opportunity for professional development, with additional training being actively encouraged. We also have good links with the local Clinical Psychology Doctoral courses.

Perinatal Mental Health Services in Nottinghamshire is expanding. We are keen to recruit Clinical Psychologists or Therapists who are passionate about the emotional wellbeing of women in the perinatal period and their infants.

You will have opportunity to undertake initial assessments and direct one to one and group based therapeutic work with women experiencing a wide range of mental health problems, often relating to complex trauma or attachment difficulties. You will also have opportunity for indirect working, offering supervision, consultation and training to both colleagues within the MDT, and the wider maternity system. The service is also seeking to develop psychological interventions across multiple pathways within and between services, and so you will be invited to contribute to innovative service design and improvement.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about working with women and their families and whose values and principles are aligned with the organisation, including compassion, and a person/ family-centred focus.

These posts offer a supportive team working environment, with a commitment to supervision.

You will be a car owner/driver and hold a current driving licence, unless you have a disability as defined by the Disability Discrimination Act 1995. To plan and provide specialist psychological assessments and interventions in the community.

To provide specialist psychological advice, guidance, consultation, training and supervision to other professionals, and to assistant psychologists and trainee clinical psychologists.

To accept responsibility for maintaining a safe working environment for all staff and users.

To carry out other tasks as requested by the Head of Service

Please note that this post does not meet the pay level required for a Skilled worker visa.

Successful applicants with no prior NHS experience would normally be placed at the bottom of the band in line with Agenda for Change. This salary is below the minimum salary required for sponsorship for a Skilled Worker / Health & Care visa. In these circumstances the Trust would not, therefore, be able to sponsor for a Skilled Worker / Health & Care visa.
