Overview
Facilities Maintenance Assistant – South West Norse, Exeter based. Salary: £29,556.80 pro rata (£14.21/hour). 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
South West Norse represents the joint venture partnership between Norse Group and Devon County Council, providing facilities management and contract services across the South West. We are recruiting a Facilities Maintenance Assistant to join our fast-paced team in Exeter on a permanent basis to assist with general maintenance queries.
Responsibilities
* Ensuring Health and Safety guidelines, policies and procedures are adhered to
* Perform minor repairs and maintenance tasks, both on a pre-planned and reactive basis
* Visiting sites for compliance checks and remedial repairs
* Supervise on-site contractors for major works
* General site maintenance duties including cleaning and hygiene services when required
* Provide efficient portering services within a timely manner under the direction of the Facilities Manager
Our Successful Candidate
We are looking for someone with previous experience across a building maintenance, caretaking or facilities management role. Ideally, this includes delivering a range of minor repairs and site maintenance duties. We will be looking for you to demonstrate:
* Ability to deliver a good level of customer service
* Excellent attention to detail
* Strong communication skills, comfortable engaging with members of the public
* Self-motivated, with the ability to use your own initiative and work effectively under minimal supervision as well as part of a team
