The Role:
The role itself is that of a Train Cleaning Team Leader. This means that you will be leading a team of up to 4x operatives at any one time in the cleaning of a train, as well as issuing jobs on the worksheet, audits, and liaising with the Train Presentation Supervisor.
Standard duties include interior cleaning, hoovering the floors, inspecting/maintaining toilets, etc. For this role, my client is seeking a candidate that can ‘lead from the front’ and be an example to the other cleaners in how to carry out their duties.
The role is focused on Full and Deep Cleaning, where you will be cleaning everything in and outside of public view.
The Hours:
You will need to be flexible for the shift pattern, which consists of working 20:00pm – 06:00am, on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern.
Requirements:
1. Be able to commute to Leeds for the 2/3-day training course – START DATE 07/07/2025!
2. Be able to pass a Drugs & Alcohol test
3. Be able to pass a full rail medical – this will include, sight, hearing, colourisation, heart, lungs, brain, etc
4. Be Computer literate – Microsoft Office, Emails, etc
5. Previous Supervisory/Team Lead experience necessary - this does NOT have to be rail based.
6. Provide your Right to Work documents before deployment
7. Happy to help mentality/attitude
8. A good level of fitness is needed as the role is very hands on and you will be on your feet most of the shift
