They are seeking an experienced Data Scientist to join their growing analytics team and play a key role in delivering advanced data-driven solutions. Job Responsibilities/Objectives: As a Data Scientist, you will design, develop, and deploy analytical models and data solutions to enhance business performance, operational efficiency, and customer experience. Developing and implementing advanced analytics and machine learning models to support fraud detection, transaction analysis, and predictive insights. Conducting exploratory data analysis to uncover trends, anomalies, and opportunities for optimisation. Translating data into actionable insights through dashboards, reports, and visualisations. Collaborating with data engineers to build scalable data pipelines and ensure high-quality, consistent data availability. Working closely with product, risk, and operations teams to align analytics initiatives with strategic business goals. Ensuring all data handling and modelling activities comply with internal governance standards and relevant regulatory frameworks (e.g. GDPR, PCI-DSS). Required Skills/Experience: Proven experience as a Data Scientist within payments, financial services, or large-scale analytics environments. Strong proficiency in Python, R, SQL, and common data science libraries (e.g. scikit-learn, pandas, TensorFlow). Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and big data technologies (e.g. Spark, Databricks). Excellent understanding of statistical modelling, machine learning, and data visualisation methods. Strong problem-solving abilities and effective communication skills when engaging with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Desirable Skills/Experience: Experience in natural language processing (NLP), anomaly detection, or clustering techniques. Familiarity with real-time analytics platforms, data lakes, or data warehouse design. Background in financial technology (fintech) or payment systems analytics.
