We have an exciting new opportunity for a Financial Accountant to join our team.
Role Summary:
This role will be part of the finance team, reporting to the Head of Finance.
The key responsibilities will include:
* Prepare and oversee financial reporting, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies
* Manage month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements
* Ensure accurate general ledger postings and maintain robust internal controls
* Lead cash flow forecasting and management, ensuring optimal liquidity
* Oversee consolidation of financial statements for group reporting
* Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior management
* Support audits, liaising with external auditors and regulatory bodies
* Promote data-driven decision-making by integrating BI tools into daily financial processes
* Lead and mentor a small finance team, fostering professional development
* Assist in process improvement initiatives to streamline accounting operations
The person we are looking for:
* Part-qualified or qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
* Proven experience in a Financial Accountant or similar role
* Solid understanding of accounting standards (UK GAAP/IFRS)
* Exposure to group consolidations or multi-entity reporting
* SAP preferred experience – must be comfortable with financial modules and reporting
* Comfortable using and interpreting reports in BI systems (Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools)
* Strong analytical skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
* Team management experience – ability to mentor and lead finance staff
* Strong communication skills to collaborate across departments and senior stakeholders
