Prostate Cancer Research – Head of Project Delivery - Translational Research
Location: Holborn, London. Hybrid working.
Salary: £49,000 - £53,000 per annum.
Contract: Permanent, full-time hours.
Prostate Cancer Research is seeking an experienced Head of Project Delivery to play a vital role in delivering ground-breaking research projects focused on diagnosis, treatment, and care.
Prostate Cancer Research (PCR) is transforming how small charities accelerate innovative health solutions, so that they can help patients faster. The Translational Research department at PCR plays a vital role in this work, supporting academic research to translate into new start-ups, supporting start-ups to grow, utilising data to accelerate research and patient access, putting patient insights at the heart of all translational research and collaborating with key stakeholders such as government, health providers and investors.
Working alongside the Translational Research Director, this role will both manage existing projects and lead and coordinate new initiatives, focusing on efficiency and delivering impact, while ensuring that projects are delivered on time, to budget and to the desired quality. In addition, the post-holder will work with the Director to support capacity management, resource oversight and strategic forward planning, as well as building collaborative relationships with internal teams and external partners.
The ideal candidate will be a PRINCE2 Practitioner or have an equivalent project management qualification, with demonstrable experience delivering multiple concurrent and complex projects, and confidence in using project management tools and software. Alongside strong organisational and time management abilities, they will have excellent communication, leadership and interpersonal skills. Finally, they will have a proven ability to manage project scope, handle changes, and develop effective mitigation and contingency plans.
