Your next teaching role could be closer than you think.
We’re working with a number of welcoming primary schools across Redbridge who are looking for a committed Year 6 Teacher ready to guide, support, and inspire pupils through their final year of primary school.
Year 6 is a milestone year. It’s where everything comes together. Pupils are preparing for SATs, building independence, and getting ready for the transition to secondary school. You’ll play a vital role in helping them feel confident, capable, and ready for that next step, both academically and personally.
If you’re someone who can balance high expectations with genuine care and knows how to bring out the best in every pupil, this could be a brilliant next move.
What you’ll be doing:

• Preparing pupils for SATs while maintaining a broad, balanced, and engaging curriculum
• Supporting pupils’ transition to secondary school, both academically and emotionally
• Strengthening reading, writing, and maths to ensure pupils reach their full potential
• Creating a focused, supportive classroom environment where pupils feel motivated and confident
• Adapting teaching to meet the needs of SEND and EAL learners so every child can succeed
• Managing behaviour through clear expectations, consistency, and positive reinforcement
• Working closely with TAs, parents, and senior leaders to drive pupil progress
• Playing an active role in school life while upholding safeguarding at all times
