Overview

Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust have an exciting opportunity to work as a Clinical Fellow ST1/2 in Gynaecological Oncology at Southend Hospital. We are a well regarded training unit with positive feedback from trainees. We have received recognition for our training quality, including a 2018 RCOG award for Top Training unit in the UK for Overall Satisfaction, Gynecology training and Professional development, and a top 10 position for Obstetrics training based on the TEF survey. £44,170 to £57,397 a year Per Annum (Pro Rata for Part Time)


Responsibilities

* The major component of the job plan will be to assist and participate in the Gynaecological Oncology service.
* Gain exposure to all aspects of Gynaecological oncology including multi-disciplinary clinics, operating theatre, MDT meetings and liaising with various members of the team.
* Take part in the general functioning of the Directorate, including attendance at the various clinics within the hospital, ward rounds and operating sessions, as appropriate.
* Maintain continuing responsibility for the care of women in their charge and contribute to the proper functioning of the Obstetrics & Gynaecology Division.
* Maintain high standards of clinical record keeping and good communication with patients, midwives and General Practitioners.
* Contribute to the teaching and training of medical students, midwives and nurses.
* Undertake administrative duties associated with the care of patients and the running of the clinical department.


Qualifications

* GMC Registration and at least three years' experience in Obstetrics & Gynaecology at a junior level.
