Lecturers in ESOL (Full-time & Part-time) – Harrow – FE College
Location: Harrow-on-the-Hill and Harrow Weald Campuses
Salary: £32,455 – £45,260 per annum (including London Weighting, pro rata for part-time)
Hours: 1 x Full-time (36 hrs/week) | 1 x Part-time (14.4 hrs/week)
Contract: Permanent, 52 weeks per year

We’re recruiting on behalf of a leading Further Education college in Harrow for two passionate and dedicated Lecturers in ESOL to join the School of English, ESOL and Maths.
This is an exciting opportunity to inspire and support learners from diverse backgrounds, delivering engaging and effective English language teaching from Pre-Entry to Level 2, alongside group tutorials, numeracy, and IT for ESOL.
About the Role:
1. Deliver high-quality ESOL teaching across a range of levels and courses.
2. Plan, prepare and assess lessons that meet individual learner needs.
3. Contribute to the delivery of Numeracy (Entry to Level 1) or Essential Digital Skills to ESOL learners.
4. Support students’ personal and academic progress through group tutorials.
5. Be available to teach one evening per week (until 9:00pm).
What We’re Looking For:
6. A minimum of Level 3 qualification in a relevant vocational area.
7. An approved English Language Specialist Teaching qualification (minimum CELTA or Cert TESOL).
8. Experience of teaching ESOL, ideally within an FE setting.
9. Ability to deliver Numeracy or Digital Skills to ESOL students.
10. A Level 5 teaching qualification recognised by the FE sector, or willingness to achieve this (with full support from the college).
11. A learner-focused approach, excellent communication skills, and enthusiasm for inclusive education.
