Overview
We are seeking a mechanical engineer to join our team on the Britvic contract. The role involves working with automated machinery in our pallet storage warehouse, used for storing and retrieving finished products. The engineering team collaborates to prevent equipment failures that could impact customer demands.
Contract Details:
* 42.5-hour week averaged over 17 weeks
* Shift pattern: 4 days on, 4 days off, 7am to 7pm and 7pm to 7am (2 days and 2 nights)
* Overtime paid at 1.5x
* Salary: £50,000 to £56,000
Responsibilities
* Complete all planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedules on time to a high standard.
* Perform repairs and maintenance with a first-time fix approach.
* Book out spares correctly to the associated assets.
* Coordinate with Operations/Shift Managers to ensure all maintenance tasks are completed within deadlines.
* Identify, rectify, and monitor faults to improve performance continually.
* Meet SLAs for equipment maintenance.
* Adhere to all Quality, Health & Safety objectives and statutory obligations.
* Contribute to the Engineering Safe System of Working procedures and Risk Assessments.
* Work at heights up to 35 meters, including climbing ladders with safety harnesses.
* Support business projects and site facilities.
Candidate Requirements
* Experience as a mechanical engineer.
* Innovative, flexible, analytical, and a team player capable of building strong relationships.
* Experience with ASRS Automated Warehousing Automation or similar is advantageous.
