Fulbridge Social Care is recruiting Trainee Residential Youth Workers to join our casual team in our children’s residential homes and Independent Living settings. We are seeking flexible, reliable, and interactive individuals eager to work in a specialist environment with full training and qualifications provided.
The role involves providing security, guidance, interaction, and support to young people with challenging behavior and complex needs, aiming to create an environment that caters to their intellectual, spiritual, social, and emotional needs.
You will work with young people aged 11 to 18 who have been placed into the care system for various reasons, with diverse disorders, behaviors, and needs. Candidates should have the confidence, patience, and skills to work successfully with these young people and positively impact their lives.
Responsibilities include supporting young people throughout the day with tasks such as meal preparation, cleaning, education, and shopping. Interaction with professionals like Social Workers, Probation Officers, and Police Officers is also required, along with supporting young people in environments like classrooms, courts, and police stations.
A valid driving license is essential, as you will be required to drive the unit car and transport young people to destinations such as family contacts, school, and social activities.
Applicants must complete an enhanced DBS check with Fulbridge Social Care and successfully finish one of our induction programs before placements are offered.
