We are currently looking for a Design Manage - Electrical who will be responsible for day to day Design Management of electrical systems. This scope will span operations in our new construction business as well as within our Capital Works projects in our facilities management portfolio.
As the Design Manager - Electrical, you will:
1. Support Electrical Design Management for our MEP and FM Capital Works projects.
2. Support tender applications and PCSA periods. Act as a focal point to disseminate lessons learned from other projects and encourage standardisation of approaches. Ensure all Skanska minimum standards are met at the design stages.
3. Add value to the design process by challenging solutions, methods and techniques where appropriate to improve build ability and reduce whole life costs.
4. Promote effective Design Management processes and use of CDE platforms through design stages and project delivery.
5. Co-ordinate design reviews with other subject matter experts in OE/Enviro/H&S/CDM/Fire etc.
We are looking for:
6. Expert understanding and experience of Design Management.
7. Expert understanding and experience in BS 7671 18th Edition.
8. Good understanding of Building Safety Act and Building Regulations.
9. Beneficial if individual is chartered or working towards chartership.
10. Working Knowledge of HTM 06 and JSP.
