THIS POST IS FIXED TERM/SECONDMENT FOR MONTHS DUE TO PROJECT WORK.

Working as part of the Informatics Department, the post holder will lead, manage, and support transformational business redesign to improve healthcare or healthcare support services.
They will work closely with a wide range of stakeholders (area teams, clinicians, managers, admin staff, NWIS staff, and suppliers), to understand the structure, policies, and operations of the Health Board. They will use this knowledge to recommend optimal ways of working, which may include National and Local Informatics solutions such as software and dashboards. The goal is to enable the organization to achieve its long, medium, and short-term objectives.
This role requires a full lifecycle approach, utilizing Business Analysis and Project Management skills, including gap analysis, options analysis, business case development, user requirements specification, solution design/development/testing, implementation, and benefits review.
Main duties of the job
* Managing and leading multiple work streams using appropriate project management methodologies.
* Collaborating with stakeholders to promote faster adoption, higher usage, and proficiency of technology, aligned with Health Board values and standards.
* Ensuring strong project governance to support decision-making, project delivery, and escalation of deviations outside of agreed tolerances, with early problem identification and resolution suggestions.
* Representing Informatics in LHB/National Committees, Boards, Teams, and Groups.
* Providing matrix management for staff within the area of responsibility, including challenging project staff at all levels to deliver their actions.
* Welsh language skills are desirable; both Welsh and English speakers are encouraged to apply.
