The role
As a Continuous Improvement Lead, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. In this dynamic role, you will drive productivity and performance across our operational teams. Spearheading initiatives that enhance resourcing, training, technology, and compliance—unlocking new levels of efficiency and excellence.

Day-to-day, you’ll enable and develop improved productivity across all our Manufacturing Operations.

* Champion operational productivity by driving continuous improvement initiatives and aligning cross-functional teams to deliver programme milestones efficiently.
* Foster strong collaboration with Marine Sector teams to ensure best practices in safety, quality, and operational excellence are consistently applied.
* Maximise workforce utilisation across all operational areas, ensuring optimal resource deployment and performance.
* Inspire and lead a high-performing team, cultivating accountability, motivation, and professional growth to meet strategic objectives.
* Provide strategic insight and recommendations to the Project Leadership Team, influencing key decisions and programme direction.
* Identify and implement cutting-edge technologies, training, and equipment to enhance workforce capability and programme delivery.

This role is full time, 37 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with 3-4 days in the office at our Rosyth, Fife site and 1-2 days from home.

Essential experience of the Continuous Improvement Lead

* Experience managing large-scale operations or programmes, with knowledge of project controls, integrated business planning (demand and supply), and performance delivery.
* Proven ability to lead and inspire multi-disciplinary teams—including subcontractors—within complex, high performance operational environments.
* Demonstrated success in driving continuous improvement initiatives, including the development and implementation of KPIs and performance metrics to enhance productivity and quality.
* Strong background in change management, cost control, and earned value management, with a focus on delivering measurable outcomes.
* Strategic and operational acumen, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders, contribute to programme leadership, and embed a culture of accountability and learning.

Qualifications for the Continuous Improvement Lead

* You will be a certified Six Sigma Yellow or Green Belt, with a strong focus on continuous improvement methodologies.
* Ideally you will be degree-qualified however, we value difference and don’t have a fixed idea when it comes to background or education, provided you can show the required level of experience and/or willingness to learn then we would like to hear from you.

Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) and Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
