Job Title: Behaviour Support Location: Durham Salary: £95 – £115 per day (Depending on Experience) Start Date: Immediate Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long-term | Part-time / Full-time GSL Education are currently recruiting for a dedicated Behaviour Support to join welcoming and inclusive schools in the Durham area. This role is ideal for individuals who are committed to supporting students with behavioural challenges and helping them succeed both academically and personally. About the Role: As a Behaviour Support, you will work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral teams to support pupils who may display challenging behaviour. You will play a key role in fostering a positive learning environment and promoting constructive behaviour strategies. Key Responsibilities: Provide 1:1 and small group support for students with behavioural needs Implement tailored behaviour support strategies and interventions Promote a safe, structured, and inclusive classroom environment Support students’ emotional regulation and social development Work collaboratively with teaching staff and external professionals Monitor and record student behaviour, progress, and engagement Requirements: Experience working with children or young people with behavioural or SEMH needs Understanding of behaviour management techniques and strategies Excellent communication and relationship-building skills Patience, resilience, and a proactive attitude An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply) Please be advised that this role requires a strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection and that successful applicants must satisfy all background safer recruitment checks, including providing an enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service, or completing an application for a new check.
