Job Description
Our presigous client in Bicester are the UK's leading supplier of concrete equipment, is seeking a Senior HGV and/or Heavy Plant Engineer-Fitter to lead on complex diagnostics, repairs, and servicing of their specialist concrete machinery. This is a hands-on, senior-level role suited to an experienced engineer looking to apply their skills in a niche, highly technical environment.
As a key member of the engineering team, you will work on a diverse fleet of equipment including concrete mixers, pumps, batching plants, silos, and volumetric mixers - both in our Bicester workshop and at customer sites across the UK.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead on advanced diagnostics, repair, and maintenance of concrete equipment with mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and electronic systems.
* Oversee and support less experienced engineers when required.
* Conduct equipment inspections, testing, and final commissioning before dispatch or after repair.
* Represent the business professionally on customer sites, offering technical advice and on-the-spot fault resolution.
* Assist with continuous improvement of workshop practices and service quality.
What We're Looking For:
* Extensive hands-on experience as a senior-level HGV or heavy plant engineer/fitter, ideally within the concrete equipment or construction machinery industry.
* High-level expertise across mechanics, hydraulics, 12/24V & 3-Phase electrics, electronics and diagnostics (CANbus, PLC systems etc.).
* Proven ability to work independently in both workshop and field environments being a direct representative of the business with our customer.
* Strong communication skills with a customer-focused mindset.
* Full UK driving licence required.

Salary:
* £45k - £55k per annum DOE
* 33 Holidays per annum
