Occupational Hygienist – East Kilbride/Scotland. Ready to Elevate Your Career in Occupational Hygiene? SOCOTEC UK & Ireland is looking for a Qualified or Part-Qualified Occupational Hygienist to join our Environment & Safety Division.
Responsibilities
* Attend clients' operational sites to safely perform scheduled monitoring to determine occupational exposure to dust, fume, noise, vibration and other workplace health hazards
* Prepare detailed technical occupational hygiene reports to SOCOTEC’s high quality standards
* Comply with SOCOTEC’s management systems (Health & Safety, Environmental, Quality)
* Maintain your occupational hygiene continuous professional development (CPD)
Qualifications
* Relevant BOHS / IOA qualifications - (Minimum 1 relevant BOHS module)
* Degree in a science-related field (e.g., Chemistry, Environmental Science, Occupational Hygiene)
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
* Excellent interpersonal skills to gain the confidence and cooperation of the client’s workforce
* Ability to self-manage workload & deadlines
* Full UK driving licence; willingness to travel and stay overnight when required

Our Environmental team brings together specialists across Environmental Monitoring, Consultancy, and Occupational Hygiene, supported by our own specialist laboratories. From onsite monitoring and sample collection for local businesses and government contracts to consultancy on large, contaminated land projects, we deliver a complete service - covering dust, noise, and exhaust emissions.
